In 2017, our founder craved a morning routine for more balance and alignment, but with a quick search, found there was no pre-made morning routine kit on the market. How could that be possible in a time when we are more anxious, stressed, busy? It was then that the Me Time Kit was born - to bring the world the gift of time.
It's funny because this practice isn't about waking up 30 minutes earlier or taking an hour to do a whole self care routine. This is, more than anything, seeing yourself. Seeing your needs. Seeing who you are and becoming more in love with the person we are inside.
How many times have we heard "the world is more connected than ever" due to social media? But are we? We crave connection and at the heart of really seeing someone is allowing someone else to see us too. Love is compassion and it starts with being open and honest.
Work hard play hard used to be the motto for balance but long gone are the days when it was acceptable to sacrifice yourself in the name of ambition. Balance to us means equally giving to ourselves the way we give to others. Hold yourself with the care that you hold others.
Dive into the full Me Time morning routine and challenge yourself to thirty days of using the journal. We always find this to be the perfect jump start into creating a morning that works for you. Feel free to give yourself three skip days, if you're brand new. Don't stress about time because remember - we have routines for one, five, seven, ten and twenty minutes.
Not into the challenge? Hey we get it. Mix up different parts of the routine to see what you like each day. Use the oil before you take a shower. Grab a card on the way out the door. Only use one part of the journal page. The best part of our kit is that you can use each part separately for any small moment you have.
Who said you have to go it alone? Join in with your partner, your roommate, a family member, your best friend for accountability and sharing. Discuss what comes up. Let someone know that you wrote about them. Encourage your friends to try a Word of the Year and share why you chose yours.
